I created a new cocktail this weekend, it’s called the “Smoky Ending Old Fashioned” and uses my new smoked Turbinado sugar. It doesn’t come across as smoky in the beginning, but as you get to the bottom of the glass the smoke becomes more pronounced.
Recipe:
Ingredients
2 Ounces of your favorite bourbon or rye whisky
2 Dashes Angostura bitters
1 Orange
1 tsp Brad’s Kitchen Smoked Turbinado Sugar
Luxardo Cherry
Soda water (Optional)
In a rocks glass, muddle together 1 tsp hickory smoked turbinado sugar, 2 dashes Angostura bitters, and a pea sized chunk of orange. If you don’t like your drink strong, add just a splash of soda water. Add ice to fill the glass. Add 60 ml (2 oz) of your favorite bourbon or rye whisky. Stir ~ 15 seconds then spritz the top with orange peel. Garnish with Orange peel and Luxardo cherry. Please share with any of your cocktail enthusiasts.
